Edgard Eeckman wrote a theater play on Edgar Allan Poe: 'The murder(s) of Edgar Allan Poe'. The play is about his life but Edgard integrated some of Poe's story elements in it which made the play a strange mixture very close to the spirit of Poe. What happens when Poe himself is accused of murder on an old man with a disgusting eye by a police inspector called Auguste Dupin?

In december 2009 it has been performed for the first time by the Flemish theater group de WAANzin in Ghent.
